H&M + DoSomething.org | Comeback Clothes

Spring is nearly over, but that doesn't mean you can't still jump on the spring cleaning bandwagon and give new life to the old in your closet. H&M is currently working with DoSomething.org, a not-for-profit organization aimed towards getting young people involved within their communities without having to spend any money. Together they created the Comeback Clothes program, something that comes in super handy for us fashion people with overflowing closets that just keep growing and growing. It's a fabulous way for us to give back by recycling our clothing and promoting a more sustainable fashion culture. Working in the fashion industry, I know the ups and down of consumerism. It's always more, more and more. Trend up trend upon trend. Sometimes we can find ourselves getting lost in the materialism of trends coming and going, and never letting go of this wasteful cycle is harmful not only to the environment, but also to our minds. Fashion can be a very beautiful thing, but it's even more beautiful when it can be shared and recycled.

Comeback Clothes encourages customers to bring their unwanted clothing or collected clothing (any condition, any size, any brand) to any H&M store and drop them off in the garment recycling bins in exchange for 15% off their next purchase.

It's never too late to edit down and give something old to new hands so the fashion stories can keep on being told and passed along. Get on it people.
