Champagne Supernova

Been on a hardcore 90's jam kick this past week, with Oasis, Nirvana and Radiohead playing over and over on my Spotify account. I love the way that the feelings of happiness, sadness, frustration, determination intermingle with the ultimate highs and lows of young love in the music of the 90s. My ears are so freaking in their element when my favorite jams from that decade come on. It makes sense that 90's elements always find their way into my everyday looks. It just sort of happens. A little plaid here, a funny lumberjack beanie there, some gritty shearling in that corner and a choker necklace in the middle of it all. Chokers are my most recent obsession. It is almost a rarity now to find myself sporting just one long necklace. Giiiiirls, it's all about the neck right about now. You know the boys like that, too ;) Oh, and you know that I had to throw in some over-the-top neon pink floral somewhere. Gotta have some Courtney Love spirit in there in one way or other.

Speaking on a more musical note, I've been filling my brain with new tunes this week and my friends are making me come see some new bands/DJs that I've never really listened to before now. And I'm digging it. STRFKR and Blackbird Blackbird, I'll be dancing to you guys tomorrow. Just trying to make up for not bring at SXSW this year.
